Contrary to other merchandise our pieces are real antiques, vintage items, bench made replicas and handmade from reclaimed wood and other recycled parts, which means that each item is unique in its own way. Accordingly expansion or shrinkage, small cracks and other wood or glass imperfections are inherent qualities in our product. Variations in consistency, uniformity, size and colour are indeed what make them unique, natural and exclusive.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
In order for us to offer you the best possible prices, our terms of payment are COD. Once goods have been invoiced, payment is required within 48 hours.
We accept the following means of payment:
Goods paid for by cheque will only be available once the amount has cleared in our bank account, usually within seven working days.
Goods paid for by EFT will only be available once the amount has cleared in our bank account, usually between two and four working days.
VISA and MASTERCARD will be accepted in our stores.
Please note that until such time as payment has been made in full, the product remains the property of Begin with the end in mind.
Exchanges & Store Credits
Goods purchased may only be returned or exchanged within 7 days, in its original condition and accompanied by an original Tax Invoice. No Cash refunds will be given; a Credit Note will be issued.
There will be a 10% handling fee on any refunded amount.
All valid claims are subject to assessment and decisions are made at the discretion of the Store Manager. Exchange or return of any item does not apply when there is appearance of wear and tear, associated with domestic use as usage/treatment in the customer’s environment.
Leather and timber products may have natural markings and colour variations due to the nature of the product. These are the characteristics of a natural product and not defects or signs of damage.
No “made to order” items will be exchanged or refunded.
Customizing an item
If the client wishes to alter an item, a pre-inspection must be made of that specific item to ensure the client’s needs are met before Begin with the end in mind agrees to alter that item.
The client will also be asked to confirm the specific requirements in writing before work commences on the item. No refunds or credits will be given on items that are changed in any way.
Goods may be reserved on our showroom floors for 48 hours, after this time should we not hear from you, the reserve will be cancelled and the goods will be available for sale.
A 50% deposit is required on all orders, which is subject to forfeit if the order is cancelled at any time.
Should goods be purchased from Begin with the end in mind without first being viewed in our showroom, Begin with the end in mind will not take responsibility nor be held liable for any inherent imperfections in our product due to materials used and manufacturing methods.
Product Assembled by the Customer
Begin with the end in mind will not be liable for any damage to the product or personal injury where the product is purchased unassembled.
Delivery & Collection
No deliveries or collections will be scheduled until the payment for the product has been settled in full.
All transportation charges, delivery and collection of items incurred will be for the customer’s account.
The person collecting the product must produce the original invoice in order to release the goods.
The person receiving the items will be required to sign the Delivery Note, indicating that each item has been received in good condition. Begin with the end in mind cannot be held liable for any damages that were not indicated on the Delivery/Collection Note by the Customer.
If an order is bought up from other parts of the country and the client cancels, no refunds will be allowed.
Any additional delivery costs due to failed deliveries caused by client or access problems will be for the customer’s account.
